Hier ein FAZ Leserkommentar zu Blum. (pro- "alle kippen, wenn Griechenland kippt"):
"Die Blumsche Anwendung der Dominotheorie strotzt nur so von Fehlern und Widersprüchen:
1. Politische und wirtschaftliche Entscheidungen wie das von der Währungsunion akzeptierte Mogeln Griechenlands beim Euro- Beitritt sind keine Dominosteine im Sinne der Dominotheorie sondern externe Ereignisse, die die Stabilität der einzelnen Dominosteine und ihre Beziehung untereinander beeinflussen. Dominos sind feste Gebilde, die entweder stehen oder fallen. In diesem Sinne sind nur die Euro- Mitgliedsstaaten Dominosteine.
2. Blum verkennt vollkommen, dass die Euro- Dominos nicht gleichartig sind auch auch nicht gleich gross sind. Der griechische Domino ist ein Papierwinzling im Vergleich zu einem deutschen Stahlriesen. Fällt ein Papierwinzling gegen einen Stahlriesen, wackelt dieser nicht einmal.
3. Blum widerspricht sich selbst, wenn er einräumt, dass ein Fallen einer Reihe von Dominosteinen dadurch vermieden wird, dass der unstabile Domino isoliert wird aber gleichzeitig fordert, dass gerade dies nicht passiert. Stattdessen fordert er, dass die anderen Dominos physische Substanz von ihrem Körper zum instabilen Domino transferieren. Die Konsequenz davon ist, dass sie an Stabilität verlieren und ihre Gefährdung zunimmt."

European countries (including Germany) puts a natural limit on their ability to rescue each other anyway.
Should other countries find themselves in difficulties like Greece, they should not even bother asking for help. Angela Merkel has learnt her lesson that German taxpayers are no longer willing to be Europe’s paymasters. Ironically, the Greek rescue package may have increased the chance of a future sovereign default in Europe – other nations struggling under massive debt burdens are likely to find there is nobody left willing to bail them out.

The mistake most politicians make about the Greek situation is simple. They believe that Greece’s principal problem is its budget deficit of around 13 per cent of GDP (if the figures are to be trusted). If that were the case, plugging the hole in Greece’s public finances with international help could work. To be sure, it would still require huge amounts of money from the IMF and eurozone members. But it would buy the Greeks time to get their budget troubles under control.
This calculation will not work, though. It ignores the fact that apart from its fiscal crisis, Greece has more serious economic problems. The most pressing issue is Greece’s lack of cost competitiveness. To put it simply, as long as a cappuccino costs €4.50 in Athens, the country has no chance of economic recovery.
